It is quite clear that Tony Blair made many of the original decisions to go to war but he was given FULL backing by most of his cabinet and they are as guilty as he is. Of course once Blair goes there will be a complete scramble by the Brownites to try and disassociate themselves from this debacle by trying to pin all the blame on Blair. We must not let ourselves be fooled by this strategy when it comes, Brown, as the chancellor, has been bankrolling the whole dreadful mess and if he thinks that by keeping his head below the parapet and saying hardly anything on Iraq (or Afghanistan for that matter) that this will get him off the hook politically then he is very much mistaken. At least Hilary Benn has the courage to nail his flag to the Blair masthead (sickmaking though it is), whereas Brown is a far more devious bucket of mackeral. A plague on both the Blairites and the Brownites houses, and three cheers for Adam Price mp for coming so close to getting some accountability from this bunch of appalling liars (only 13 votes the other way and Blair would be gone today!!).
