How predictions for Iraq came true

So begins an article on the BBC Website by John Simpson, the BBC’s World Affairs Correspondent in which he explains how virtually everything which could go wrong in Iraq, has gone wrong and how warnings about what was likely to happen were ignored by the US and UK.

The root of the problem was revealed by Vice President Dick Cheney who when asked why he thought the US was determined to invade Iraq, said “Because it’s do-able.”
