5th June 2007
Saturday 9th June marks the 40th anniversary of the Six Day War, in which the Israeli Army took military control of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, including East Jerusalem. The Occupation has created serious poverty for the Palestinians, as well as severe human rights violations, with over four million refugees, many of them living in refugee camps.
The UK government is in a close military, economic and political relationship with Israel, a country in violation of over 60 UN resolutions. Enough! www.enoughoccupation.org a group of charities, trade unions, faith and campaign groups, has organised a rally in London on 9th June to call on the British Government to stand up for international law and human rights.
Meet at Lincoln’s Inn Fields at 1.30.p.m. to march to Trafalgar Square
